Mary G. Lesh

Colonie- Mary Giacoppe Lesh, 95, entered eternal life Wednesday October 5,2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany to the late John and Santa Femino Giacoppe. Mary attended Albany schools graduating from Philip Schuyler. As a young woman she went to work for her parents at the Venetian Ice Cream Parlor on S. Pearl St., Albany. Mary then went on to marry her late husband Martin R. Lesh, Jr. and raise her four children. Mary loved being a part of St. Francis Seniors group, playing bingo and going on bus trips especially to the casino. She also enjoyed watching old movies, spending time at her camp on Schroon River, traveling to Florida and cooking that she did exceptionally well. Above all Mary really enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother John Giacoppe. Mary is survived by her loving children Mary Ann Riley (Frank), Martin J. Lesh (Nancy), Barbara Trimarchi ( Dennis) and Debbie Johnson (Eric); she was grandmother of seven; great grandmother of ten and great great grandmother of two; her sister Ann Nunziato Farinacci; also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the Staff at St. Peter’s Hospital fourth floor pavilion for their exceptional care and compassion for their mother. They would also like to thank the Staff at the Teresian House 5A for her care these past two years. Funeral Services Monday October 10th, 2022, at 8:15 am at Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home thence to Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr., Albany NY 12211 at 9:00 am where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
