Anita A. Criscione

Albany-Anita A. Criscione, 77, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Luisa Graziano Criscione. Anita was a devoted employee of the New York State Retirement System for over 40 years. Anita will be remembered for her generosity, devotion and care she displayed to her family and friends and to all whom she encountered. Her joy was to gather her family-anyone was welcomed Sunday’s at 1:00 pm for pasta and her home baked cookies. She was known for her famous Italian cookie trays for every function she attended. She was the bond of our family, and cherished by all. She enjoyed many luncheons and trips with her good friends. She was an avid Box Camera Photographer and enjoyed capturing and preserving everyone’s memories in photo albums. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the St. Peter’s Hospital 3rd floor staff, the staff at the Hospice Inn, and St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the sister of Guy Criscione (late June), Angeline Papale (late Anthony) and the late Nicholas Criscione; sister in law of Carol Criscione; loving aunt of Joanne Criscione McTague (Joseph), Guy Criscione, Jr, John Criscione (Natalie), Michael Criscione (Eileen), Nicole Criscione Szesnat (Albert), Matthew Criscione, Maria Papale Mannarino (Louis) and Andrew Papale (Linda); loving grandaunt of Joseph McTague (Shubh), Carrie McTague McGoldrick (Christopher), Anthony Mannarino (Beth),James Mannarino, Andrea Unser (Kyle), and Christina Papale; great grandaunt of Kelly, Jennifer, Gregory, Steven, June, Clare, Francis, Paul, Benjamin, Sophia, Olivia, and Jack Criscione, Nicholas and Anna Szesnat; great great grandaunt of Fiona and Quinn McGoldrick and Ellen Mannarino; she is also survived by other many family members and friends. Funeral services Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 8:15 am from Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, now located at 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit Friday, January 31, 2014 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
