Donna L. Bruce

Donna L Bruce, passed away suddenly Sunday March 11, 2018 at the age of 64 with her family by her bedside after a brief stay in the hospital. She had gone into cardiac arrest sometime Thursday March 1st and had to be resuscitated. During the first few days in the hospital she suffered two heart attacks, three small strokes and a seizure and CPR was needed again for a second time. What a tough, strong willed woman she was. She fought until the bitter end. That is how we shall remember Donna Bruce, a Fighter. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on January 20, 1964. She lived a full and exciting life. For example a story of how her and her husband met. She was driving with a friend of hers and they saw this young man walking along side of the road. Donna stopped and asked if he needed a ride and he said sure. Donna told the gentleman that she would be right back. She then dropped her friend off and went back to pick this man up who was still walking along side of the road. They never looked back. That was the Day Donna met Stephen. Shortly after that they were married and they spent every year together. They were married 45 years. That is love. That was also the type of person she was, spontaneous, a go getter and thoughtful. Oh, and don’t forget the life of the party. She will be truly missed. Not only is she the loving wife of Stephen Bruce . She was the daughter of the late Ralph Rose and late Harriet Palmatier. Step-Daughter of Joe Palmatier. Loving mother of Crystal E. (Bruce) Diange and her husband Scott, Stephen Bruce Jr and his wife Delora, Rebecca Bruce and her longtime boyfriend Jimmy. Cherished by her many grandchildren, Andres IV, Dominique, Alanna, Scott Jr, Sincerity, Gigi, and her Great Grandson Andres V. She is also survived by many brothers and a sister along with many nieces and nephews. Donna was loved by all and gave all to everyone. Services will be at a later date when the weather gets nicer to accomdate Donna’s relatives and friends who live in many different places.
