Dorothy B. Kosier

Castleton-On-The-Hudson, NY-Kosier, (Milos) Dorothy “Dottie” B., Castleton-on-the-Hudson, 88, died after a long battle with Alzheimer’s/Dementia on July 16, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born February 5, 1935 and grew up in Albany where she graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1953. After graduation, she worked at New York Telephone as a Telephone Operator. Dorothy spent her early adult life raising her children. Later in her life she attended Albany Medical Center School of Nursing, where she graduated top of her class. Dorothy’s nursing career started at Albany Medical Centers’ Burn Trauma Unit, later in her career she worked at Anne Lee Nursing Home prior to retirement. Dorothy’s hobbies were gardening (she had a knack for growing her beautiful roses), and she loved going to the casinos. She also loved to shop till she dropped, always looking for the best bargain and spoiling her grandchildren. She liked to watch Law and Order, Family Feud and eating ice cream. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Bernetta Milos, Brother, Bernie Milos, Grandson Timothy Nazarian, brother-in-law David E. Hayes, Ex husband Bennie Sciotti and Ex husband Edward Kosier. Dorothy leaves behind her children; Debbie Kosier - Allen (Mickey Ide) Castleton-on-the-Hudson, Joanne Sciotti – Wood (Leonard), Peru, Jennifer Sciotti, Guilderland Center, Christopher Sciotti (Nancy) Troy. Also, the family dog, Bella. Her grandchildren, Catherine Zatylny - Villa (Cipriano), Palmyra, Virginia and Nicholas Allen, Clifton Park. Great grandchildren Cipriano Jr and Bradley Villa. She also is survived by her sister, Joyce Hayes, nephew, David E Hayes Jr., niece Heather Hayes - Sherman (Howie McNab) Great Nieces – Chantel Sherman and Kalyn Sherman, Hailey and Molly Hayes, Jonathan, Layla and Aiden. Dorothy’s family would like to thank Mary Flansburg, Rebecca Hakimian, Patty Shaver and Kristen Burns for all their love and support throughout the years.
