Anthony A. Lattanzio

Albany-Anthony A. Lattanzio, 87, entered Eternal Life Saturday evening, May 6, 2017 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by his beloved family, holding a flower bouquet to give his cherished daughter Lisa in heaven, who passed away just a few days before on May 3rd. Tony was born in Albany, the son of Bonifacio and Amelia Falato Lattanzio. He was a 1948 graduate of Albany High School, and Hudson Valley Community College. Tony was service manager for over 40 years at A.B. Dick, and then spent many years as a groundskeeper at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Albany alongside his wife Paula who was superintendent of the cemetery. Tony obtained his private pilot’s license and was a member of New York State Civil Air Patrol, and was also a longtime member of A.O.P.A. He enjoyed his camp in the Adirondacks, traveling, music, carpentry ( he could build or fix almost everything) and photography. But as enjoyable all these things were to Tony, spending time with his dear family was most important to him. He was the beloved husband of Paula Hamecher Lattanzio; loving father of Michael A. Lattanzio, Linda L. Gross, Peter A. Lattanzio (Elizabeth), Maria A. Hancock (Erik) and of course, dear late Lisa St. Hilaire; cherished grandfather of Nicole Childs, Rene St. Hilaire, Rachael Martin, Benjamin Lattanzio, Nicholas Lattanzio and Chelsea Lattanzio; great grandfather of Morgan and Taylor Childs, Cody, Gavin and Carter Martin, and Emma Lattanzio; brother of Joanna Sparling, Joseph Lattanzio and the late Mary Rossi; several nieces and nephews survive Tony. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Tony’s family Wednesday, May 10, 2017 4:00 to 7:00 pm in Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany. Funeral services Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 8:15 am from Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9:00 am where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Interment will be held at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Those wishing to remember Anthony A.
