Frank Giglio

Albany-Frank Giglio, 66 , died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sorbo San Basile, Italy he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Teresa Servietti Giglio. Frank retired from Callanan Industries after 35 years with the Construction and Laborers Local Union 190. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed vacationing, picnicking, playing bocci, and his biggest joy was spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as the phenomenal singer of the Good Times Band for over 40 years. He did everything with passion. He made homemade wine, sopressata, and enjoyed gardening and sharing it all with his friends and family. He was a member of the West Albany Italian Beneveloent Society and the Order of Sons of Italy in America Lodge #321. Frank was an amazing husband, father, Nonno, brother, uncle, and friend to all! He touched so many lives and he will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was the beloved husband for 41 years of Antoinette Mancuso Giglio; father of Teresa (Anthony) Gross, Dr. Vincent (Katie) Giglio, and Sabrina (Brian) Viglucci; grandfather of Gianna, Joseph, Isabella, Giuliana, Julia, Michael and Frank; brother of Livia ( late Salvatore) Oliveti and Maria (late Antonio) Notaro; son in law of the late Peter and Ida Mancuso; brother in law of Carlo and Angela Futia, Ralph and Josephine Commisso; many nieces, nephews, cousins and large extended family and friends survive. Funeral services Friday, September 26, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Parish of Mater Christi, Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit Thursday, September 25, 2014 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Parish of Mater Christi, Albany. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
